We all go through tough times, regardless of whether you’ve just come home from war, are struggling to make it through college, or were recently laid off from a high paying job, there are certain elements of the human condition that we inevitably face at some point during our lives.
Fortunately, regardless of what your personal situation may be, there are a lot of resources that are out there that can help you, and the most important thing for you to remember is that no matter what, if you continue to educate yourself and work consistently to improve your own conditions, you will inevitably succeed.
Here are three books I suggest to help you get back on your feet.
Money Master the Game
The first book y0u should check out is by one of the world’s leading experts in personal growth: the infamous Tony Robbins. Mr. Robbins has authored a lot of books over the years, but his most recent work focuses on one of the major elements of anyone’s life: money.
If you’re going to be successful in any calling, he argues, it’s essential you master the game of money. Fortunately, the game isn’t too difficult to win, as long as you follow a certain set of principles, which he lays out and emphasizes throughout the book.
The Magic of Thinking Big
Another great book to read if you’re currently struggling is a self-help classic: The Magic of Thinking Big. Though it might seem trite to focus on establishing big and seemingly unachievable goals for yourself when you’re struggling to get through your current situation, that’s exactly the reason you need to focus on the long term picture.
It’s easy for anyone to get distracted by their current reality, and lose sight of the amazing things you’re capable of in the long run. By focusing on your long term goals, you can have a great purpose and something that gets you motivated every single day.
The Power of Now
Last but certainly not least is The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle. This book is all about the importance of living a mindful life, and appreciating everything that’s going on around you in this very moment.
The key to long-lasting success and happiness is gratitude for everything you already have in your life. Even when you’re down and out, you’re probably still better off than most of the people in the world, and you have an incredible number of people and things in your life you should appreciate. From there, you’ll be able to build up to become anything you want to become.
